A SELECTION OF TRAVEL MONTAGE VIDEOS FOR MARCH 2018
The videos we have selected for this month showcase travelling and travel destinations using a variety of photography, sound design, and filming techniques.
Enjoy four short videos that use modern filming and editing techniques with maybe a touch of hipster style, certainly lots of timelapse, hyper timelapse and slow motion, every trendy edit transition you can think of, and, most importantly, plenty of amazing travel video.
AT HOME OUTDOORS
A visual documentary. Canada in winter. Friends on a road trip. This short film has a fast paced edit with much use of slow motion, modern transitions, wide angle drone imagery, designed to showcase a winter road trip travel experience. Majestic winter landscapes, with friends, camper travel, and camping adventures, put to music.
IN JAPAN - 2015
Train travel affords a different experience for the traveller. Watch the world go by at a slower pace than air travel, less hectic than a congested motorway, and in some cases, more refined, like travel from yesteryear. This is Vincent Urban’s three week railway journey through Japan in 2015 in sound and moving images, using the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to visit Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Kyoto.
BUCHAREST AT NIGHT
A multi-year production to capture Bucharest, Romania's capital city in all its nighttime glory. A montage video featuring night timelapse and hyperlape techniques, set to a music track with a sound design for added effect.
HONG KONG STRONG
Brandon Li describes his video as “a film about the madness and beauty of this seemingly impossible city in the days leading up to Chinese New Year. And an exploration of my own Cantonese heritage.” Enjoy.
