SUPERMOTO THUMPER
A few days ago Husqvarna announced they were going to release three new street models at the EICMA International motorcycle Expo in Italy. Based on the supermoto concept bike they showed off last year, it was a good bet that concept bike would be translated into reality. The new 2015 701 SUPERMOTO is a more traditional looking bike than the concept prototype, drawing on KTM’s DNA to produce a single cylinder 690cc power supermoto that generates 67hp, controlled by a ride-by-wire throttle and Husqvarna’s Engine Management System. The bike weighs a measly 145kg, has WP suspension and a “dedicated Supermoto ABS and APTC slipper clutch.”
