ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY GEAR
Of the many outdoor clothing and gear companies, Patagonia is known for their stand on environmental issues, sourcing, for example, organic cotton for all their garments and donating significant funding to environmental groups. They state “[t]he quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water.” Their new Organicycle T-Shirt features a stylised motorcycle emblem printed on the front of a lightweight long-staple organic cotton t-shirt.
