TOUGH AND PORTABLE
On long motorcycle journeys, where there is a need to backup photos, videos or your laptop computer’s harddrive, a portable harddrive is a good way to reduce the possibility of losing valuable data. A standard external USB powered drive would do the job, however, if you’re an adventurous rider then a robust drive is probably more appropriate, like the ADATA DashDrive Durable HD710. This drive “incorporates military-grade shockproof and waterproof (IPX7) construction with an ultra-fast USB 3.0 interface,” has an integrated wrap-round USB cable to quickly transfer data. It weighs only 220g (0.49 lb) and is comparable with Mac, Window and Linus OS.
