START A FIRE
The ESEE Fire kit’s main job is to start a fire with its mischmetal flint. Just point the flint rod at tinder and strike with a sharp knife. Unlike Ferro compound rods that produce a ‘rain’ of sparks, the ESEE Fire’s flint generates small hot burning molten particles with a relatively long burn time, hence ESEE market their Fire Kit as a 'last-ditch' fire starter. The unit also comes with a waterproof capsule in the handle to store survival stuff and small cap compass.
