SIGNIFICANT PERFORMANCE UPGRADES
For 2014, Ural sidecar motorcycles will have performance upgrades based around engine, handling and braking and what the company describes as overall fit and finish improvements. A new “closed loop throttle body injection system utilizing individual ECU’s for each of the cylinders” is the key engine upgrade replacing carburetors along with a modified camshaft profile, a new airbox and engine front cover. Results include better fuel economy, reduced emissions and increase power and torque curves. Rear brakes on the bike and sidecar have been upgraded from drum to discs. Steering improvements include a new 18-position adjustable hydraulic steering damper. Fit and finish improvements cover new tank kneepads and badges, fuel lines and upgraded wiring and dashboard instruments.
