UPDATED MUNRO SPECIAL
Indian Motorcycles have produced a short film showcasing “The Spirit of Munro,” a custom built replica of Burt Munro’s “Munro Special,” the highly modified 1920 Indian Scout Munro built in his garage in Invercargill, New Zealand that he took to the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967 and achieved the under-1000cc land-speed record. The Spirit of Munro also showcases Indian’s new Thunder Stroke 111™ engine. ‘To honor the past and power the future’ is Indian’s tagline for this project and this short film stays true to that premise. The behind the scenes video is also worth watching as it provides footage of the bike under construction.
