HANDLEBAR FUEL TANK
It might seem like a strange place to mount a fuel tank, however, adventure touring bikes tend to be back heavy with large panniers and bags full of gear. Apart from the added range the tank affords, weight distribution becomes an issue on some bikes and a light front wheel only adds to the excitement of off road or gravel road riding. Acerbis’ small auxiliary tank holds 0.6 gallons (2.3 litres) and comes with a siphon kit to automatically drain the fuel into your main tank. High marks for innovative thinking; practical functionality will depend on personal preference and a range of factors best left to each rider’s judgement.
