Ducati markets the Multistrada 1200 as 4 personalities, 1 bike. New for 2013, the 4 in 1 idea relates to four pre-set selectable engine management and riding modes programmed to change the riding characteristics of the bike. Covering modes for endro, urban, touring and sport riding, this mode based implementation is achieved through a sophisticated Ride-by-Wire system along with electronic adjustments to traction control and suspension settings. Additional upgrades include a Bosch breaking system, faring modifications and new headlight. Reflecting this motorcycle’s high-end stature, a hands-free ignition system comes standard; as the rider approaches the bike (with their electronic ignition key) the onboard systems recognise and enables the bike, allowing a simple press of the key-on button to switch on the bike’s electronics, ready for starting and riding away.
